“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in this year, you surprise yourself.”
Neil Gaiman
I want to thank you for our connection last year – whether it was through the Breaking Through The Void Summit, my Intention Group, through one of my webinars or as a private client – it has been my pleasure to serve you with my work and offerings and I hope that we continue to connect.
I did a full moon meditation yesterday and I reflected on the year that has just passed and my sense for 2018. Last year left many of us feeling as though the rug had been pulled out from under us, with things and people that we used to rely on not behaving in the usual predictable way, however, I genuinely feel that we have turned a corner into 2018 and from here on in, we lay the foundations for our future. We build from scratch the foundations for a clean, collaborative and more simple way of living and of being. 2017 felt like a deconstruction of our outdated ways, and with that having now completed, the future feels unknown but exciting.
I am genuinely intrigued and inspired to see what is to come and I would encourage you to take a few moments before the year really gets going (and especially today with the new moon energy), to sit and reflect for yourself to see what you can feel and to ask yourself what part you would like to play in 2018.
The gift of surrender
So, what word sums up 2018 for you? This year for me it is ‘surrender’ and that’s interesting because surrendering isn’t a state that I find easy, and yet this is my resolution for the year. In 2017, whatever I resisted just pushed back against me, so I was forced to surrender and what I discovered is that surrender is not a passive state – instead it is a place where you accept what is, and in doing so you find that you are completely empowered in how you choose to respond. It takes the ‘reaction’ out of life and with that I find I make much better choices. Surrender has enabled me to let so much go, that I have more energy for joy and for life.
Maria Grace, a new connection of mine, describes this up beautifully in her latest piece for the Huffington Post. Please click here to read her article and consider whether there are situations in your life where maybe surrendering is the best response …
Much love, magic and miracles to you this year.
